Ryn walked into Cloud Nine and looked around. Sure, she wasn't a huge fan of drinking, but it was a great place, plus, she was the manager. Not to mention it was fun to work there, tons of cool people, however strange and...different...they are. She looked around and sighed, having no idea what to do right then.. It had been pretty quiet since she began working there, but then again, most drinking didn't start till evening, and she tended to only work afternoons. This would practically be her first night shift, and it was gonna be fun. She looked around again, no one yet. With another sigh she walked behind the counter and pulled out her book, waiting for business to pick up.

Naim, walked into the building, his eyes darting to each corner, and he immediatley moved out of the way, as a group of people walked past. He raised his eyebrow, confused on why they were in a hurry, he quickly shrugged it off, and sat down at the nearest chair that he could find. He rested both of his elbows on his knees, and leaned forwards into his hands, heaving a large sigh.

Ryn looked up from her book, seeing someone seat themselves on a chair. She raised an eyebrow and put her book down. Of course, people don't even bother coming over to the counter to order something, they want table service. She rolled her eyes and hopped off her stool. She was thankful for all those years of being a waitress while she was still in school.
Walking over to where the man sat she looked around at the other people there. None to be concerned about, a few regulars still in there. "Can I get you anything?" Ryn asked the man, stopping infront and slightly diagonal of him.

Naim, stared at the ground, completely deepened in thought. As, Ryn came up to him, and spoke, he jumped taken by surprise. His gaze slowly looked up at her, and he faintly forced a smile and slightly shook his head. "No thanks," He replied, pausing for a moment. He rested his elbow on the table top, and heaved in a sigh. For some reason, he always felt stressed since the turmoil.

Ryn nodded. SHe oculd feel the stress, most people had that these days, at least, those who didn't like death and destruction. It was horrible, what was happening. "Alright, if you need anything just hollar." She turned and walked back to the counter, once again sitting on her pertch. She didn't like to pester people, especially ones she didn't know, plus she was supposed to be working. Looking around again she waved to one of the regulars who was waving to her, giving him a small smile. He was a constant drunk, but he was a great guy anyways. Ryn opened her book once again and continued reading.

Although, Naim seemed like he didn't like the turmoil, he was one of the people in the groups that caused the downfall of peace. He nodded, in response, and he slowly stood up, since he had a feeling that something else was going to happen soon. He wasn't afraid, either, he was just curious. Normally, curiousity got the better of him, and this was one of those times.

Out of the corner of her eye Ryn saw the man stand up. She raised her eyebrow slightly. Was he going to turn out to be one of those people who came in to try and hook up with one of the girls who worked there, or was he going to just be in there for something to do? Either way, she'd keep an eye on him, she couldn't, after all, have something happen to anyone while she was working.

Naim, glanced down at his watch, and hurriedly went outside. He walked around the building and stood in the back, awaiting to meet someone. Where, the shadows lingered over him like dark clouds. He took a small step back, and he leaned against the building. Softly, humming to himself, as he continued to wait.

Ryn, if at all possible, raised her eyebrow even more as the man hurried out. 'That was just a little bit creepy.' She thought to herself. She looked aorund, everyone was good right then. She put her book down once again and made her way towards the door. "Where you goin Rynny?" She heard one of the regulars call to her. She rolled her eyes. Rynny was not one of her preffered nicknames. She looked over at the man and smiled slightly "Just oging to check something out. Mind covering for me?" She asked. The man, called Joe, knew what he was doing. He was there so much she practically let him serve himself. "'course" he said. Ryn smiled and made her way out the door, keeping to the shadows like her brother had taught her to do. She didn't want to disturb whatever was happening out there right then, nor did she want to be seen.

Naim took a nervous step to the side, standing at the corner of the building. "Well, Naim. There you are," A deep and raspy voice said, as a tall and muscluar man appeared from the forest behind the building. "Hey, Thom," Naim replied, eyeing Thom with nervous and untrusting eyes. "You got a job to do... You remember, don't you?" Thom said, narrowing his eyes.

Ryn jumped slightly at the sound of a raspy voice. She tucked herself into a corner, deeper into the shadows. She would have to make this quick...if he was oging back inside she'd have to be there first.... She pushed the thought from her mind, what was this guy up to?

Naim, continued to have his gaze on Thom. He didn't bother to answer... at least, not yet. "You and me both know what you did to ruin the peace here... I could use that to my advantage, if you don't do what you're told," Thom said, grinning, as he saw Naim take another step back as he walked closer to him. "I'm not going to do it... I can't do it anymore... I'm not a devil's reject, unlike yourself," Naim said, a hint of old fear in his voice.

'I knew he was up to no good....' Ryn though, having heard enough. She slowly crept out of her corner, keeping as much to the shadows as possible, and began making her way back to the inside.

Without, saying more, Naim turned and hurried back inside. His eyes widened, in fear of what could happen to him if Thom told what he had done. Naim, shook his head and sat down near the counter, not saying a word. He rested his arms on the counter, and restlessly tapped his fingers against it. Annoying, some of the people around him, but what did he care?

Ryn casually walked back into the shop and nodded to her friend who had been watching the place for her. She made her way back up to the counter, cleaning a table on the way. She hated people who just left the tbale a mess for her to clean, it was annoying. Absently, thinking about what she had just heard, she walked back over to the counter and put the dishes away to be washed. She spotted the man again and narrowed her eyes on him slightly. Thinking better of it, so as not to be caught with what she had just heard, she went back to her cleaning.
